Sun International South Africa

Tsogo Sun Gaming
5 casinos. Tsogo Sun Holdings comprises Tsogo Sun Gaming and Southern Sun Hotels. South Africa's largest black empowerment hotel and gaming group is 74% owned by Hosken Consolidated Investments.
It was announced in December 2008 that the company will buy the two properties owned/managed by Century Casinos.

Gambling Boards and Commissions
South Africa is divided into 9 regions each with its own Gambling Board under the direction of the National Gambling Board. 
National Gambling Board of South Africa
In 1996 the National Gambling Act was passed by parliament and limits the number of casinos that can be licensed in the Republic to 40.
The National Gambling Act is available on site for download.
Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board
Consists of nine members whose responsibility it is to ensure that an accountable and credible legal gambling industry exists in the Eastern Cape.
Free State Gambling Board

Gauteng Gambling Board
Established in 1996. Gauteng is the most populous and wealthiest area of S.A containing metropolitan Johannesburg. There are presently 5 casinos in operation. The sixth licence has we believe been cancelled.
KwaZulu-Natal Gambling Board
One of the 9 SA Gambling Boards under the control of the NGB. A statutory government body established under the KwaZulu-Natal Gambling Act of 1996.
Limpopo Gambling Board
There are presently 2 casinos in Limpopo. The Meropa Entertainment World and Tusk Venda.
Mpumalanga Gambling Board
Established in December 1995 under the terms of the Mpumalanga Gaming Act
(Act 5 of 1995), and is a statutory body reporting to the Provincial Department of Economic Affairs and Gaming.
North West Gambling Board

Western Cape Gambling & Racing Board
Cape Town. Established by section 2 of the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Law, 1996. The Board has a chairperson, who serves on a full-time basis, and five part-time members.

Casino Association of South Africa (CASA)
Founded in 2003 to represent the interests of South Africa's casino industry. A code of conduct for operators was introduced on the 1st August 2005 by the CASA Board of Directors.

Vulkani Gaming Corporation
